As you may know the lawsuit involving the three players of the former D2 team is between them and NAGAAA. This is not an action that SFGSL is part of. However, members of the SFGSL Board may be called as witnesses and both parties have asked us not comment on the specifics of the incident.
With that said, SFGSL, welcomes all members of our community to join our league regardless of age, color, sex, gender identification or sexual orientation. SFGSL does not limit participaton based on any of the above. This is consistent with our Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Mission Statement, and how we operate the league.
SFGSL is associated with NAGAAA primarily for the purpose of the Gay Softball World Series. SFGSL is also associated with ASANA primarily for the purpose of the Women's Division Softball World Series. However, NAGAAA and ASANA do not have any authority over how SFGSL is operated. As associated members of these organizations we are active in discussions and voting on rules and regulations. The SFGSL Board takes this responsibility seriously and represents our community vigorously.
Best Regards,
Vincent Fuqua
Commissioner, SFGSL
